A little piece of Italy
From humble beginnings in 1985, Chianti is celebrating its 36th year this year. Many of our customers have travelled that journey with us and we celebrate their loyalty and friendship, as much as we enjoy welcoming new customers and travellers on a daily basis.
Centrally located on Hutt Street (in the Adelaide CBD) Chianti is at the most a 10 minute taxi ride from any of Adelaide’s international hotels and we provide our patrons an elegant dining experience in the friendly warmth of a classic Italian family trattoria.
Chianti offers a ground floor restaurant, all-weather al fresco dining and two private upstairs dining rooms, ideal for intimate celebrations, cocktail parties, corporate functions and events.
Our menus, which change several times a year, are focused on seasonal and local and interpreted with precisely the same enthusiasm a new season brings in regional Italy.
Our wine list is sourced from the old and new world and Chianti has an incredible reserve list that features some of the world’s greatest wines.
As one of the first restaurants in South Australia to be awarded the Ospitalità Italiana accreditation, presented by the Italian Government and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Australia, we are committed to delivering an authentic Italian dining experience and recreating a little piece of Italy in Adelaide.
Functions & Events
Whether you are looking for an intimate booking with a small group, or looking to host a major event; Chianti has beautifully appointed function rooms that will suit your needs.
Our chefs are dedicated to the traditions of the Italian kitchen, but, equally they enjoy exploring the modern Italian kitchen.
Each season brings with it a special bounty which our Chefs love to showcase. Our menu is a mix of traditional and modern Italian food and what Italian cooking celebrates.
At Chianti, we really know where the food we cook comes from. We value our producers because without them our food would be something less. It may be our fisher mate pulling up at the restaurant door inconveniently at the start of service... or our chefs and front of house staff at the Adelaide Showground Farmer's Market.
